A family dragon boat race was held on June 14 at the Tianjin Haihe Water Sports Center in Tianjin's Dongli district, drawing participants and families to the riverbank to appreciate traditional customs and strengthen bonds through teamwork and competition.
Parents paddled vigorously with the rhythmic beat of the drums, supported by their children as cheers and encouragement echoed from both riverbanks. Beyond the race, a Dragon Boat Festival heritage experience area allowed families to enjoy the festival's traditions, such as marking their foreheads with cinnabar, wearing colorful ropes, and crafting mugwort sachets.
The event is part of the "Meet Tianjin: 2026 Four Seasons Family Series", which will continue offering a variety of engaging family sports activities, enhancing Tianjin's reputation as a city committed to nationwide fitness.
