The flower, one of Tianjin's Dongli district's four city symbols — lake, valley, flower, and spring — serves as a cultural link, connecting scattered resources to transform flower viewing into a year-round activity and an engine for industrial integration.

Dongxin Agriculture, China's largest cultivation base for Medinilla magnifica (rose grape), produces over one million pots of rose grapes annually with a planting area of 370,000 square meters, accounting for over 90 percent of the domestic market.

This site combines planting, exhibition, sales, seedling cultivation, and research. In its 600,000-square-meter greenhouse, over 60 potted plant varieties thrive with advanced systems that break seasonal barriers.

The company's annual output of potted flowers and plants has exceeded 10 million pots, with a value of 40 million yuan ($5.89 million), providing jobs for over 100 neighboring residents.

While many regions focus on simple sightseeing, Dongli integrates agriculture, commerce, sports, culture, and tourism, with the flower exhibition at Dongli Lake Flower Base boosting consumption during the recent May Day holiday.

Dongli district has transformed flowers into a powerful connector, linking diverse economic sectors and showcasing the potential for a "beautiful economy" to flourish.
