During the May Day holiday, Tianjin's Dongli district offered a wide range of cultural and tourism activities across four main categories: scenic sightseeing, rural leisure, cultural exhibitions, and shopping festivals. The activities energized the market and generated both social and economic benefits.

Visitor numbers to key A-level attractions and rural sites rose by 1.2 percent compared to the previous year, with tourism revenue increasing by 0.3 percent.

Tianjin Happy Valley's Chinese cultural festival featured Dunhuang-inspired aesthetic spaces and traditional Chinese cultural parades. A spectacular 20-meter flying fish and drone light show captivated audiences, while a pet-friendly opening on May 5 made it a prime destination for young people and families. Meanwhile, the Guanhu Castle tourism area offered hot air balloon rides, water shows, and a Southeast Asian food festival, providing a romantic day-and-night experience.

Rural activities, like the Xinli Countryside Park's Flower Viewing and Camping Carnival, catered to family leisure needs. The flower exhibition at Dongli Lake Flower Base boosted floral consumption while attracting visitors for sightseeing.

Cultural exhibitions, such as the snuff bottle display at Dongli Museum and an old photo exhibition at Dongli Art Museum, enriched the district's cultural landscape.

Promotions across commercial sectors, including discounts and events at major shopping centers, further energized consumer engagement.
