The 2026 Tianjin Happy Dongli Lake Half Marathon is scheduled for April 12 in Dongli district, Tianjin, with registration opening at 2 pm on March 7.
Now in its third year, this event promises not only a challenging race but also a festive atmosphere by the lakeside.
Returning participants who have competed for three consecutive years will receive a special commemorative gift to honor their memories of the marathon.
This year, runners have the unique opportunity to select their race numbers, allowing them to select meaningful dates such as birthdays or anniversaries. They will also receive an upgraded race pack filled with sports products, interactive game coins, and custom postcards.
The event will feature an AI-powered photo booth that combines scenic lake views with race-themed elements, a real-time interactive bullet-screen display, and immersive mystery games, along with exclusive merchandise to extend the joy of the race.
Beyond the race, there will be live band performances and a themed market, turning the marathon into a festive lakeside carnival.
The race will commence at 7:30 am from the square of the Happy Valley scenic area, covering a distance of 21.0975 kilometers. Participation is capped at 5,000 runners, and registration will close on March 13 or once all spots are filled.
