Dongli district has announced 20 major public services projects for 2026, backed by 45 measures aimed at improving employment, education, housing and infrastructure for local residents. The district aims to further enhance quality of life and promote inclusive urban development.
To strengthen employment, the district will open at least six new employment service stations across several subdistricts, expanding assistance for job seekers, including those facing employment difficulties. The initiative builds on existing platforms that connect residents with nearby job opportunities.
To expand access to education, new school facilities are set to open. A newly completed primary school on Jinzhong Street, with 24 classes and capacity for 1,080 students, is expected to open this year, serving surrounding communities. An additional kindergarten will also begin operation in September, adding 540 preschool enrollment slots.
Efforts will also be made to further improve transport infrastructure. Dongli plans to accelerate construction on more than 10 new roads and supporting routes for key public facilities and commercial projects. Major road links are scheduled for completion by the end of the year, easing congestion and improving connectivity.
Housing conditions will also see upgrades. Renovation work will cover 20 residential buildings, benefiting 876 households, with improvements including roof waterproofing, replacement of rainwater pipes and windows, and road maintenance. The district will also replace 163 aging elevators across 25 residential compounds, serving more than 5,000 households.
In addition, traditional markets will be modernized, and a "15-minute living circle" will be developed around Dongli's Wanda Plaza, enhancing daily services for over 30,000 residents.
