In the Huaming High-Tech Zone, aerospace has emerged as a pillar industry. Istar Space Technology, introduced from Beijing, manufactures rocket fairings that have supported 36 successful launches. The company has increased its output value sevenfold in seven years after settling in the zone, reflecting Dongli's targeted approach to attracting and nurturing key enterprises.
Today, the park hosts about 50 companies across the aerospace materials and equipment supply chain. Firms specializing in advanced composites, precision components and technical services form a coordinated industrial cluster, enabling rapid supply, joint research and efficient production. From January to November 2025, the sector's total output reached 1.75 billion yuan (about $253 million).

Dongli district is also strengthening the link between research and innovation. Enterprises such as Tianjin Golden Bridge Welding Materials Group integrate research and production through partnerships with universities and research institutes, accelerating the conversion of laboratory results into industrial applications. The district has built a network of innovation platforms, including national and municipal key laboratories and technology centers, supporting breakthroughs in advanced materials, intelligent inspection and other fields.

A comprehensive service system further supports business growth. Dongli organizes supply-chain matchmaking events, provides financing through government-guided funds and offers tailored services in areas such as talent recruitment, education and administrative procedures.
Looking ahead, the district will focus on developing high-growth sectors including aerospace, biomedicine, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, while upgrading traditional industries.
