Within the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei coordinated development strategy, Huaming High-Tech Zone in Tianjin's Dongli district is accelerating industrial upgrading, with a growing focus on high-end equipment manufacturing, healthcare, advanced new materials, and intellectual property services.

The zone has taken on non-capital functions from Beijing and attracted a range of technology-focused projects.

Phase I of the Kuntin Healthcare Industrial Park is nearing completion and is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2026.

Developed by Beijing-based Kuntin Investment Management Group, the park covers about 6.67 hectares, with a total investment of 250 million yuan  (about $36 million) and a planned floor area of approximately 75,000 square meters. The project has already achieved a 40 percent occupancy rate, with tenant companies spanning biomedicine, medical devices, intelligent manufacturing, and health food.

Huaming High-Tech Zone's appeal is also reflected in the relocation of Tianjin Shengjin Tiancheng New Materials Technology, which moved from Beijing in 2024. The company focuses on R&D and the production of titanium-aluminum alloy components, including lightweight, heat-resistant turbocharger turbines used in gas engines.

In 2023, Huaming High-Tech Zone ranked second citywide in Tianjin's evaluation of Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei industrial collaboration platforms. With more projects coming online, the zone is well-positioned to further support regional industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development.
