Tianjin's Dongli Hospital launched its teleconsultation platform on Sept 5, marking an important step forward in advancing tiered healthcare and improving medical services across Dongli district.

The hospital has expanded its family-doctor services and strengthened its medical alliance by shifting major diagnostic services to community health centers. Residents can now make payments at their local clinics, while Dongli Hospital conducts the examinations and issues official reports. This approach enables patients to access reliable diagnostic services close to home and supports seamless sharing of reports between community institutions and the hospital.

To further streamline patient flow, the hospital has introduced a two-way online referral system that integrates appointment booking and resource coordination. Community clinics can refer patients to specialists more efficiently, while hospital physicians can transfer recovering patients back to community facilities to continue rehabilitation.

The newly launched teleconsultation platform enhances this system by allowing community doctors to request real-time remote consultations with Dongli Hospital specialists, enabling faster clinical decisions and improving diagnostic accuracy.

Looking ahead, Dongli Hospital plans to expand the scope of its remote services and refine the integrated healthcare model to provide residents with more efficient medical care.
