The Tianjin traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture market was launched in Dongli district, Tianjin, on June 20.
Wang Xudong, secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Health Commission Committee and director of the commission, pointed out that Dongli district, as an important hub connecting Tianjin urban and the coastal area, actively promotes the deep integration of TCM with health tourism, modern agriculture, and technological innovation based on regional ecological endowments and modern industrial resources. He said, the focus is on building a new pattern of modern TCM development and emphasizing "cultural inheritance - industrial integration - health services".
Wang underscored that this event would enable TCM and modern civilization to shine together in Tianjin.
Li Chun, head of Dongli district said that Dongli will create more new scenes for healthy consumption, promote the integrated development of medical resources with health preservation, cultural tourism, sports, and other industries, and become a highland for the innovation and inheritance of TCM culture.
For the three-day event, experts from the Tianjin's top-tier hospitals and physicians from local medical institutions set up more than 80 booths and interactive experience areas showcasing the unique advantages of the integration of TCM in "treatment, health preservation, and rehabilitation."
Dongli district residents could experience specialized diagnosis and treatment right at their doorstep and come to fully appreciate the unique charm of TCM.
