Dongli enterprises win Tianjin Science and Technology Awards

The list of winners of the 2024 Tianjin Science and Technology Awards was recently announced. Four enterprises in Tianjin's Dongli Economic Development Zone collectively won eight awards, achieving remarkable results.

The four winning enterprises are China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co, Ltd (CATARC), CATARC Automotive Inspection Center (Tianjin) Co, Ltd, CATARC New Energy Vehicle Inspection Center (Tianjin) Co, Ltd, and Tianjin Guoke Medical Technology Development Co, Ltd.

Their achievements cover two major categories of Technical Invention Award and Scientific and Technological Progress Award, including one special prize for Technical Invention, one first prize, two special prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress, two first prizes and two second prizes.

CATARC's "Research and Application of Key Technologies for the Development of Chinese Automotive Operating Conditions" won the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Special Prize. This project used new technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, to develop independent operating conditions for China, achieving a significant breakthrough in China's automotive operating conditions.

The Tianjin Science and Technology Award is an important provincial and ministerial-level science and technology honor recognizing entities and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology. This year, 200 achievements were shortlisted, with a significant proportion of awards going to the Dongli Economic Development Zone: 18.1 percent of the Technical Invention Awards and 37.5 percent for special prizes based on classification.

The awarded projects not only demonstrated the technological innovation capabilities of enterprises in the Dongli Economic Development Zone but also reflected its role in promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and facilitating industrial upgrading.
