Eurasian Spoonbills rest in Dongli Lake.
As the warmth of spring gradually covers Tianjin, Dongli Lake welcomes a special group of "new guests", more than 20 Eurasian Spoonbills.
The white egret is a large wading bird and is classified as a second-level protected animal in China. It has pure white feathers, long slender legs and a distinctive long bill shaped like a pipa (a Chinese lute). The yellow feathers on its head and neck contrast sharply with its white body, giving it an especially elegant appearance.
Eurasian Spoonbills rest in Dongli Lake.
The Dongli Lake area has always been committed to ecological protection and environmental management. The clear lake water and abundant aquatic plants provide rich food resources and a safe habitat for birds. The arrival of more than 20 Eurasian Spoonbills is not only a gift from nature but also testimony to the achievements in ecological conservation at the lake.
Each spring, Dongli Lake is expected to welcome more "new guests" stopping over at this avian paradise.
