Yuhu Cold Chain (Tianjin) Trading Center begins its construction.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Tianjin) Trading Center was held on March 18 in Dongli district, Tianjin.
The undertaking of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Tianjin) Trading Center project is an important measure to promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and implement the integration development plan of "port-city" and "station-city".
With the support of the Yuhu international cold chain logistics network, intelligent warehousing management system, and one-stop trade services, the project aims to accelerate the aggregation of the cold chain industry, promote the cross-regional circulation of agricultural products, reduce the overall logistics costs in society and continuously drive the optimization and transformation of industrial structure.
As the first primary trading center established by Yuhu Cold Chain in North China the northern China region, the project has a total investment of about 5 billion yuan ($691.15 million) and an approximately 500,000 square meter construction area.
It will consist of two main functional zones (the Agricultural Product Trade Distribution Zone and the Warehousing Cold Storage Zone) and two trading zones (the High-end Ingredients Experience Area and the Commodity Auction Area). It is expected to become a comprehensive industrial park, integrating cold chain logistics, processing services, trade settlement, smart park, office facilities and other business sectors.
