Tianjin's Dongli to strengthen cooperation with Gaolan county

A meeting on East-West Cooperation between Tianjin’s Dongli district and Gansu's Gaolan county was held on Nov 29, and was also attended by leaders from Dongli district and Gansu province.

The purpose of the meeting was to further communicate and exchange ideas and promote comprehensive East-West cooperation.

Li Chun, head of Tianjin's Dongli district, said that since 2017, Dongli district and Gaolan county have continuously strengthened high-level consultations and interactions. They have promoted connectivity in areas such as financial support, social mobilization, industrial cooperation, consumer assistance, labor cooperation, and talent support, continuously stimulating the endogenous development momentum of Gaolan county.

Li said Dongli will further focus on the deep processing of Gaolan soft pears and other characteristic industries, enhance the modernization of agricultural facilities, and promote the optimization and upgrading of characteristic industries. The district will make good use of the Tianjin consumer assistance programs and expand the channels for exhibiting and promoting Gaolan's agricultural and special products.

Liu Fengheng, deputy mayor of Gansu’s capital, Lanzhou, said that Dongli and Gaolan have achieved significant results in industrial cooperation, talent exchange and labor cooperation, effectively driving the economic development of Gaolan county. Going forward, Lanzhou will continue to learn from the advanced experiences of Dongli district, making new contributions to the rural revitalization and county economic development of Gaolan county and working together to create a new situation of cooperation between Tianjin and Gansu.

The meeting also looked at the progress made in East-West cooperation work in Gaolan county in 2024.

A ceremony was held for the signing of investment cooperation agreements between Dongli and Gaolan.
