Recently, coots, which are listed as key protected wild animals in China, have appeared in Dongli Lake.
Every year, more than 100,000 wild birds inhabit the lake, including over ten species of nationally protected birds, such as white swans, Chinese black-headed gulls and white-fronted geese, making Dongli Lake a "bird paradise".
