In September 2020, Dongli district and the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce jointly launched the construction project of the Northern Cross-border Digital Trade Ecological Core Zone. Over the years, with the great efforts of Dongli Airport Economic Zone in promoting the project, the Northern Cross-border Digital Trade Ecological Core Zone has gradually cultivated and introduced over 60 cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and formed an industrial cluster.
As the construction carrier of the cross-border trade supply chain service platform, the Tianjin Products Cross-border Digital Trade Industrial Park was officially put into operation in January 2021, with a planned area of 35,300 square meters. After two years of development, the total number of enterprises in the park has reached 56. In 2022, the annual overseas retail sales reached about 730 million yuan (about $100 million).
