According to statistics from the Dongli Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, in 2022, the total grain output of Dongli district has already surpassed 38.42 million kilograms, with an increase of 4.5 million kilograms, hitting a record high for the fifth consecutive year. The bumper harvest of grain provides great support for stabilizing the local economy.
This year, Dongli has strengthened its support to local grain production. Since the beginning of spring, Dongli has arranged the sowing of spring wheat and strengthened field management of wheat seedlings, especially in the 4,000 mu of high quality farmland built in recent years, which has played an important role in food security. This year, the yield of corn, rice and wheat in the region has already reached about 35 million kilograms, 17 million kilograms and 16 million kilograms respectively.

In 2022, the grain planting area in Dongli district increased to 72,400 mu. At present, the area sown with wheat is 13,900 mu, the area sown with corn is 28,797 mu, the area sown with rice is 12,100 mu, and the area sown with soybeans is 2,400 mu.
This year, Dongli has continued to issue subsidies for grain production and agricultural machinery, granting a total of over 10 million yuan (about $1.5 million) to local farmers. The series of preferential policies have contributed to the bumper harvest of Dongli district.
