Dongli Lake, with the highest green coverage rate in Dongli district, strives to create a green tourism space and bring more high-quality ecological benefits to the local people.

Located in the scenic spot of Dongli Lake, the Happy Valley now has over 10,000 daily visitors, increasing 20% compared from three years ago. Credit goes to the average 5 million annual tourists who visit Dongli Lake because of its new tourism formats and upgrades from ecological landscape to leisure services.
"The number of our daily visitors has increased 20%. Especially in the past three years, our overall revenue has seen a relatively good growth, which is due to the support of the whole surrounding environment," said Zhang Jinshu, deputy general manager of Tianjin Happy Valley.

Since 2017, Dongli Lake has been concentrating on the unprecedented afforestation campaign in the 6,000 mu lake area and upgrading the water system and green space.
The green area in Dongli Lake was about 5.2 million square meters before 2017. About 2.38 million square meters have been built since then, with a total green area of 7.58 million square meters. Promoting the ecological environment in the area has not only supported the construction of the green barrier, but also the development of the green tourism industry.
As the core area of the northern ecological barrier constructed by Dongli district, the green area of Dongli Lake continues to spread and the ecological environment improves year by year, creating a green environment system that meets the national AAA scenic spot standard. The government has been constantly improving the standards for the development of tourism in Dongli Lake.
