During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, Dongli has been focusing on its important role in supporting Tianjin to become an international consumption center city by adjusting and clarifying the direction of development, innovating mechanisms and pushing economic development. Dongli will spare no efforts to reach the goal of being a more beautiful, more prosperous, and smarter district.
To achieve the goal, in addition to promoting the construction of four major business zones, including the Xinli economic development zone, the Wanxin airport economic zone, the Junliang area, and the Jinzhong economic zone, Dongli has been also working on building a landmark business center. The government insists on giving full play to the leading role of key commercial projects, thereby attracting investment and promoting consumption. Accordingly, these projects will provide strong support for Dongli to play the important part of building Tianjin into an international consumption center. By carrying out the 2022 key commercial project signing activities, Dongli has signed 8 commercial projects with a total investment of 8.96 billion yuan ($1.35 billion), covering fields such as smart industrial parks, smart wholesale markets and supply chains.
Furthermore, the government has improved convenience services for local people. Dongli has improved infrastructure construction, developed brand chains, optimized service quality, introduced new business forms and integrated various resources to meet the growing needs of the people, while comprehensively promoting a high level of standardization, intelligentization and the quality of community commercial services.
Additionally, Dongli has adhered to expand consumption channels. By constantly expanding the influence of tourism brands in Dongli, the development of catering, retail, hotels and other industries will be promoted accordingly.
In the future, Dongli will continue to focus on the development pattern of Tianjin, the construction of the international consumption center and regional business center, improve the quality and capacity of the market, dig new consumption hotspots and cultivate new consumption platforms to meet the growing needs of the local people.
