In February 2012, Ikea opened at Dongli shopping mall in Tianjin, covering an area of nearly 90,000 square meters with a shopping area of up to 4,500 square meters. Its shopping mall includes three storeys totaling more than 60 exhibition rooms displaying over 9,000 products that offer beautiful, practical and diversified home furnishing inspirations and solutions. There are also many humanized designs and facilities in the shopping mall. It provides rooms for mothers and infants and children’s playground for parents who can shop without worrying about their children. The shopping mall also has restaurants serving Swedish food where customers can have a taste of Swedish cuisine and enjoy their leisure time.
