A gantry crane stands in the steel storage and transport center.
The steel storage and transport center affiliated with the Tianjin Yishang Whole-journey Logistics Storage and Transport Center handled nearly 500,000 tons of freight, with its operating efficiency surging by about two times, in one year within its opening in September 2020.
The center, invested and built by Liaoning Fangda Group, has become its first comprehensive base capable of providing multiple services such as storage, trade and finance, railway transport, manufacturing and transport, and logistics.
The center has three gantry cranes and two truck cranes and boasts an average daily throughput volume of 10,000 tons. It witnessed the arrival of three trucks with 182 tons of steel products on the first day of its opening in September 2020.
With the help of Liaoning Dafang Group, the center has received technical assistance from industry insiders to further enhance the professional knowledge and vocational competence of its employees in the face of a complicated operating environment.
Meanwhile, the center has piloted a reform in performance-based salaries to increase the enthusiasm of its employees.
The center has fostered close ties with many major firms in the market.
In the future, the center will further improve its infrastructure, introduce production lines for hot-rolled steel coils and cold-rolled steel plates, and expand the scope of its business activities in accordance with rising trade volume in steel, iron ore, manganese ore, coal and silicomanganese.
