The "Meet Tianjin 2026 Four Seasons Family Series — Dongli Lake Cycling Race" kicked off in Tianjin's Dongli district on Oct 18, drawing more than 300 families and middle-aged and elderly cycling enthusiasts.
Participants enjoyed riding along the autumn lake while supporting a charitable cause. At the event, they witnessed the unveiling of a reading room at a primary school in Xizang autonomous region. Many families donated books, which will be sorted and sent to children in Xizang after the race.
After the starting horn, the race began. A new team of middle-aged and elderly riders joined the children this year, adding both family joy and respect for older people. Organizers set different cycling groups and route difficulties for various age groups, with referees and volunteers ensuring safety and helping every participant enjoy the ride in a safe, pleasant environment while promoting green travel and fitness.
The event combines sports, family bonding, and social responsibility, serving as a hands-on lesson in public service.
