The productive service sector has become pivotal in driving industrial transformation and economic upgrading in Tianjin's Dongli district, as its added value reached 26.38 billion yuan ($3.91 billion) in 2025, making up 33.7 percent of the regional GDP.

Key figures include a 10.2 percent year-on-year rise in scientific research and technical services, reaching 7.19 billion yuan. Leasing and business services surged 25.9 percent to 2.84 billion yuan, while information transmission, software and information technology services grew 12.6 percent, totaling 1.35 billion yuan.

To maintain growth, Dongli introduced measures to enhance its service sector capacity. A district-wide forum connected over 60 enterprises, facilitating precise supply-demand alignment through opportunity and capability lists.

The district also promoted manufacturing-service integration, strengthened financial support, and advanced technology transfer projects. Governance innovations include the launch of Tianjin's first "Business-Friendly Station," and improved mechanisms for resolving enterprise issues.

Dongli is also focusing on four key industry clusters: enhancing testing services, upgrading modern logistics with the Yuhu Cold Chain Hub, advancing intelligent connected vehicles with a tech innovation base, and developing geological exploration with an industrial park.
