The third China (Tianjin) Medical Device Innovation Ecosystem Conference and the ninth China Medical Device Design and Entrepreneurship Competition commenced in Tianjin's Dongli district on July 30, gathering government, industry, academia, research, healthcare, and investment sectors to foster the development of the medical device industry.
The opening ceremony showcased groundbreaking innovations. Ma Jun, co-founder and CTO of Raysight Medical, introduced the "Cardiovascular AI Surgical Robot Technology," enabling AI-driven robots to autonomously perform surgeries. The company plans to establish a production base in Dongli Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Xiang Wenlin, general manager of Zdeer (Tianjin) Technology, launched the "Intelligent Fitting Bone Conduction Hearing Aid," simplifying traditional fitting processes and reducing costs. Projects, such as continuous glucose monitoring and AI hearing aids, are also underway in Dongli district.
Tianjin Dida Supply Chain Service, a State-owned platform, received the Marketing Community Certificate. The company offers integrated services to address challenges like hospital entry barriers and high storage costs, supporting innovation-focused enterprises.
The competition featured four tracks, attracting over 80 projects from universities and medical institutions. Dongli district has attracted 27 high-end R&D companies and over 90 medical device firms in two years, accelerating innovation momentum.
